Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

The CLS position will support Notable’s growing CLIA/CAP laboratory team by
playing an essential role in the development of flow cytometry-based laboratory
developed tests (LDTs) for the prediction of treatment outcome for therapeutics
including Notable’s in-licensed volasertib.

This is a full-time, salaried position.

Minimum Qualifications
–Licensed in the state of California (California CLS license)

–Bachelor’s degree

–3+ years of experience in high complexity testing

–Solid knowledge in—and experience with—multi-color flow cytometry using
human blood or bone marrow specimens.

–Hands-on experience with common laboratory techniques such as red blood
cell lysis, mononuclear cell extractions using Ficoll, FISH, and DNA and RNA
extraction from blood.

–Willingness to continuously learn and develop new methods not restricted to
flow cytometry.

–Highly organized with attention to detail and strong communication skills.
–Self-motivated.

–Familiarity with the principles of Design Control (21 CFR Part 820.30) is a
plus.

Responsibilities
–Work closely with the Research, Product Development (PD), and engineering
teams to translate research assays into LDTs.

–Maintain CLIA/CAP certification by continuously qualifying materials,
certifying equipment, and maintaining QC documentation to prove
conductance of these maintenance tasks.

–Maintain inventory and prepare materials (solutions, reagents, master mixes,
etc.) as required for testing.

–Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex multi-color flow cytometry
equipment.

–Help develop and follow all laboratory procedures to ensure proper specimen
handling, processing, analyzing, and complete testing records in accordance
with CLIA and CAP regulations.

–Handle peripheral blood and bone marrow specimens from sample acquisition
to data report, including sample processing, data acquisition, and data
interpretation.

–Initiate and conduct corrective action in case of specimen issues.
